ETL certified car lift from Eagle Equipment

ETL Certified 2 Post Lift with Car

If you’re looking for an ETL-certified car lift that will do it all, this is the lift for you. It is available with Symmetric or Asymmetric arms. Just change the lift’s arms to change the design. If you want the ability to do both, order the certified car lift and ask for the extra set of arms.

The 10,000 lbs. capacity allows you to work on cars, SUV’s and Trucks up to 3/4 Ton.

This certified car lift has rubber door guards on each post to provide that added security against door damage. It has outer hose guards to protect the hydraulic hoses from unnecessary damage.

This lift also has double telescoping arms with drop-in pads, a heavy-duty arm restraint system and a single-point lock release.

An ETL certified car lift means it’s been tested by a trusted third-party (Intertek). What kind of tests do they do? They put 1.5X the weight capacity on the lift and then run through a serious of tests. On this lift we loaded up 15,000 lbs. in the way of steel coils. We lifted it. Lifted and held it. Shifted the weight forward, then backward, then sideways and lifted it. We lifted it and then cut the cables to see how quickly it lowered. We then had each component of the lift, like the cables and such, tested individually through Intertek. We also send this lift with a Power Unit that has also been certified. It’s a rigorous testing process to see how the lift will react under all different conditions. If the lift “passes” it has the “certified” label.

Here are some photos of the testing process on this lift:

Eagle knows that a lift must be safe in order to protect from serious injury and death. With this lift, you not only have our word for it, you have Intertek‘s certification and the Automotive Lift Association as well.

When this lift is in-stock, it’ll ship the next business day. Give us a call today at 1-800-336-2776 or order yours online.

First, I want to thank all of you at Standard Tools for the decals you sent me for my lift. It’s much nicer walking into the shop seeing the Eagle Logo as soon as you come in.

Second, I have to tell you that I absolutely love this MTP-9A lift.

I was able to do the installation myself, with some help from some friends to lift the posts into position. The instructions that came with the unit were clear, simple, and walked me through the process step-by-step. I bought this lift after doing a lot of research on what is available and at what price. No doubt, Eagle offered the best bang for the buck.

The use is primarily for my personal vehicles and as a hobbyist. I installed it in February 2015 and have used it quite extensively since. I worked in a professional garage for eight years as an auto mechanic, so, I’m familiar with two post above ground lifts.

I can say first hand, this Eagle Lift is Superior in Quality, Safety and Performance to the lifts in the garage where I worked. Also, the 8-gallon oil drain is great. It’s so nice being able to see the oil level through the translucent plastic. You know exactly when to empty it, and there will be no accidents of overfill. Bottom line…thanks to you all at Eagle Equipment for making a Quality, Safe and Affordable lift.

Your equipment is First Class, and I tell my mechanic friends that when they come into my shop.

Creative Customer: Two-Post Lift Installed in the Rafters

Our customer’s never cease to amaze us by their creativity and ingenious. Let’s face it. We know who our customers are. They are the doer’s. The Mr. Fix-it’s. The one’s who figure it out and get it done. We love these types. We are these types.

We love it even more when they share with us how they fixed a problem…. like this guy who ordered an MTP-9A two-post lift but didn’t have 12′ ceiling height for the overhead design. Do you think he said “Aw-Shucks” and returned the lift? NOPE. He went over the roof. Seriously– he went into his rafters. (But he did have his Trip cord under the rafters so it would actually be useful should the lift ever need to be automatically shutoff.)toschkoff 2

asymmtric or symmetricNow here’s the deal, Eagle Equipment has 2 different styles of two-post lifts – overhead and floor plate. The overhead lift stands 12’ and has the hoses and cables running across the top of the two-post lift with a clear floor between the post. This is the most popular lift if you have the required 12’ of ceiling height. The floor plate design stands only 9’5” and has the cables and hoses running from side-to-side underneath a raised plate between the posts.

If you do not have the 12’ of height for the overhead two-post lift, the floor plate design is best suited for you.  But, if you’re like this guy ….. just because you don’t have the correct ceiling height doesn’t mean you can’t install one of our overhead two-post lifts … just make sure you have rafters.
